I have been in the complementary health field since the 1990s and Completed my Diploma in Health Science in Remedial Therapies from Endeavour College (previously The Australian College of Natural Medicine) in 2002.
Over the last 20 years I have expanded my understanding of the body and musculoskeletal system with continued education in
Pre/post natal and high risk pregnancies
Eastern and western cupping therapy
Neurostructural Integration Technique
Hot and Cold Stone Therapy
Various short courses on dysfunction and pain patterns
Reiki

My Approach to Treatments
With almost 20 years in the massage industry I have come to realise that the body does not exist independently from the mind.
I take an empathic and holistic approach to my treatments.
A range of techniques may be applied based on specific needs, such as
Myofascial release
Trigger point therapy
Sports massage techniques
Deep tissue massage techniques.
Cupping therapy
Hot and or Cold Stones
Reiki/energy work
Every session includes a few minutes at the onset to determine what is the best approach for that treatment, This pre-massage assessment/discussion is an important and necessary part of your appointment in order to treat your specific needs.
Stone Massage Training
I trained with Sandra at Stone Eagle over 10 years ago and have incorporated her fantastic training and high quality granite and marble stones into my practice ever since.
I have found them an incredible tool on many levels. They are wonderful as a relaxation aid with a permeating warmth that is amazing. I have also been using them as a remedial tool to facilitate the work I do on soft tissue dysfunction, and within a sports massage and post event recovery context they are great. Thermotherapy and Cryotherapy are modalities that work well within my clinic setting.
As a result of this I am now passing on this useful training and hands on experience to other therapists in the hope that they can offer a little extra to their clients, by offering workshops and courses for Remedial Massage Therapists, Massage Therapists and Beauty therapists.
